She growls and snaps at my friends chihuahua and has had similar reactions to a couple others she's encountered. Its strange because she has been doing well with meeting other dogs of different breeds and sizes.
they are VERY territorial… i have two and not only do they hate other dogs but they hate other people that they dont know. they are only protecting you. which is nice…but hard to deal with socially. but you love them so who cares, chihuahuas rock!

Chihuahua's are freeky little dogs. I've never seen a calm, non-aggressive, quiet chihuahua, so if she's only aggressive towards other chihuahua's then I'd say you're better off than most chihuahua owners.
Seriously, why that breed???? I am three weeks away from bringing home a rhodesian ridgeback puppy… I've wanted this breed for ages… for many, many solid reasons… at what point does one settle on a chihuahua as their breed of choice….

Make sure you have your crate accessible at ALL TIMES! Every time she shows aggression Go to the crate tap it, say "Crate now" Ina firm voice. Leave her in there for 15 minuets no more, no less. Do not give her acknowledgment while she is in there. This will let her know, the behavior is not wanted! This will brake the behavior. Just be consistent with doing it and it will brake the bad habit.
