What Can You Do to Stop the Annoying Barking of Your Dog?

What can you do to stop the annoying barking of your dog?

Many houses around the world have a dog as a family pet, and many of these households have adopted their dog as part of the family. Unfortunately, one cannot predict his dog’s behavior when it grows up. This is a source of constant annoyance for the owners of the barking dog, and many people are at wits end for a solution for getting their dog to stop barking.

Dogs are extremely useful when their barking announces an imminent danger or someone trespassing the property. However, dogs bark in many conditions and not all of them are serious. They like to bark when they play, excited or assume someone will pay attention to them. There is the bark that a dog lets out when he wants the attention of his master, and there is the bark a dog will voice when he is bored.

Generally, dogs that bark a lot do it out of boredom. Seeing as they are so used to having attention showered on them, bored dogs will start to bark simply to attract more attention. Of course, it is the fault of the person who owns the dog, rather than the animal’s.

Dogs are curious animals and they always bark when in contact with other dogs; this is why keeping your dog behind the house is a good way to prevent the bark. They also need to run and play, so make sure they have enough time and space to do so so that they can consume some of their abundant energy.

Make sure not to give in to your dog when it is simply barking to get your attention. That will continue the spoiling of the dog, and it needs to learn that it has its place. You can start with light dog training, such as teaching it how to react at simple commands. Never yell at a dog, as that will only reinforce the instinct to make a lot of noise.

Bark collars are excellent dog training tools that can also help you with this problem. You shouldn’t be afraid to use these devices on your dog, as they will not harm it at all. A bark collar is a great means to keep the barking under control. A bark collar may use mild electric stimulus, vibration, a sound at ultrasonic levels that only dogs can hear, as well as a citronella or lemon spray.

Each of the three versions start their mechanisms whenever the dog barks for a longer period of time. However, they do not harm the dog in any way. They only annoy the animal in order to remind it it should avoid that behavior.

When you put the collar at your dog’s neck, make sure the animal is kept somewhere far from other sources of noise, such as screaming kids or other dogs on the street, so that the noise doesn’t interfere with its barking. If the animal associates the discomfort produced by collars with its loud behavior, this behavior will slowly decrease.
